Community Call Center

Receives inbound calls via the 16000 line from patients requiring an urgent or routine medical consultation with a physician dentist or ophthalmologist.

Scope of service

The service provides:

1- telephone triage by nurses determining priority based on:

    Routine
    Priority / urgent within PHCC scope
    Emergency

2- telephone or video consultations by physicians, dentists and ophthalmologist who assess, advise and guide patients to appropriate treatment/referral depending on their needs, including home visits, where appropriate.

Target Population / Patient

All people in Qatar.

Other information

No Health Educator services provided currently due to Covid- 19 pandemic and routine services temporary suspended.

Type of Access

The Community Call Centre service is accessible 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

People can access the call center through 16000 and book an appointment for a telephone or video consultation with physicians, dentists and ophthalmologists during the hours of 7am to 11pm.

A nurse led telephone triage service will be available from 11pm to 7am which will signpost patients to appropriate services, such as PHCC 24hr Urgent Care services, based on their needs.
