On the evening of Wednesday, May 28, 2025, the Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC) held its Annual Corporate Forum in the presence of His Excellency Mr. Mansour bin Ibrahim Al Mahmoud, Minister of Public Health, and Her Excellency Dr. Mariam Ali Abdul Malik, PHCC Managing Director.

The event was also attended by several members of the executive leadership team, health center managers, department heads, honored employees, and several clinical and administrative staff.

This annual forum serves as a tribute to PHCC employees and their outstanding contributions to the ongoing journey of healthcare excellence and development. It reflects PHCC’s commitment to a culture of recognition—one of the pillars of a positive and motivating work environment.

National Health Strategy

At the beginning of the ceremony, Dr. Mariam Ali Abdul Malik delivered a speech highlighting the corporation’s major achievements in 2024 and early 2025, including success in international accreditations, improvements in service quality, expanded access to care, development of national talent, and enhanced employee satisfaction.

She emphasized:

“The continued support of our wise leadership, along with our commitment to Qatar National Vision 2030 and the National Health Strategy 2023–2030, is what drives us toward excellence. Within this framework, we launched our Corporate Strategic Plan 2024–2030, which focuses on population health and expanding access to high-quality healthcare services.”

She added:

“The year 2024 witnessed key accomplishments, including PHCC receiving the Canadian Diamond Accreditation for the fourth time and winning the Patient-Centered Care Award. We also enhanced our preparedness through business continuity workshops and strategies and field exercises.”

“In the field of education and development,” she continued, “we maintained ACGME-I Accreditation in Family Medicine and received, for the first time, ACGME-I Accreditation in Community Medicine. We also signed a research collaboration agreement with Hamad Bin Khalifa University.”

She noted the expansion of services, with over 1.8 million registered beneficiaries and more than 3 million family medicine visits—a 28% growth. New specialized services were launched, including urgent care, sepsis detection, cancer survivor care, and expanded ophthalmology services.

Regarding human resources, nationalization reached 27%, with over 400 Qatari employees promoted. The Corporation also achieved strong job satisfaction levels and introduced new motivational initiatives.

She concluded:

“Dear colleagues, this ceremony expresses our appreciation for your outstanding dedication. Thank you for your achievements and for your continuous efforts in serving our beloved nation.”

“Ataa” Group Speech

Dr. Muna Taher delivered a speech on behalf of her colleagues in the “Ataa” group—employees who have served PHCC for over 25 years.

“I am honored to stand before you today on behalf of my colleagues who have dedicated a quarter of a century to PHCC,” she began.

“Twenty-five years have passed, and our steps have never faltered.

We walked this path with love, sincerity, and hope for fulfillment.”

She recalled attending her first recognition ceremony at the start of her career, admiring the honorees and wondering if she would one day stand among them. “And here I am today, grateful for every moment and for everyone who accompanied me on this journey,” she said.

She shared that although she began her career in pediatrics, a simple moment with her father led her to switch to family medicine, where she found deeper meaning and connection with people. She closed her speech proudly: “After 25 years, I say with pride—it has been a journey full of giving. I thank the Corporation and its leadership and pledge to continue serving our country with sincerity.”
