The International Day of Radiology takes place on November, 8th, the day that Wilhelm Conrad Rontgen discovered the x-rays in 1895, as a day of action and awareness, an annual event held with the aim of building greater awareness of the value that radiology contributes to safe patient care. The International Day of Radiology recognizes the many innovations in radiology research that have revolutionized modern medicine, produced great technological leaps, enabled more effective and efficient care and saved countless lives.
