Prevent and control health conditions that occur during a woman’s reproductive lifespan by conducting an on-going health monitoring and provide early intervention so a woman can begin her pregnancy as healthy as possible. The service aims to reduce unplanned pregnancy and to support healthy birth spacing based on the woman's reproductive plan.
Women under the age of 50, both Qatari nationals and non-Qatari residents, living in Qatar and registered at PHCC health centers.
Contraception methods available in all health centers include pills and injection.
Intrauterine Contraceptive Device (IUCD) insertion is available in some health centers to be provided by only privileged physicians. For other health centers, there is a plan to establish internal referral between PHCC health centers for insertion of intrauterine contraceptive device.
