PHCC Dentistry Department aims to promote good oral and dental hygiene by preventing oral disease and reducing the existing disease burden, impact and prevalence.

Oral Health Promotion approach considers increasing oral health awareness at both individual and community levels, by establishing promotion/preventive programs.

Our Oral Health Promotion and disease prevention keys:

Raise community awareness about the importance of good oral health.

Promote healthy lifestyle and reduce risk factors associated with oral diseases.

Oral health education sessions and dietary counselling.

Targeted prevention therapies including topical fluoride therapies, fissure sealants and preventive resin restorations for high risk groups.

Targeted preventative oral health programs for high risk groups through programs such as:

a. Beautiful Smile: targeting pregnant women and children up to 12 years of age.

b. Asnani School Oral Health Program: targeting public KGs and primary school students.

c. New school students’ oral health assessment includes screening of new/transferred governmental kindergarten and school students.
