Continual Professional Development (CPD)

Workforce Development and Training Directorate are pleased to announce our involvement in ensuring that PHCC is compliant to the Accreditation Standards for Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Provider Organizations (State of Qatar), as endorsed by the Ministry of Public Health Qatar Council for Healthcare Practitioners.The Directorate ensures that all health care professionals have access to quality evidence based CPD activities, as part of our continuing provider status for CPD, which is supportive of PHCC’s strategic intent ‘Excellence in Workforce and Organizational Learning’.

The Directorate will ensure that all CPD developments are reflective of:

Competencies approved by PHCC.

Development of competence and performance of health care practitioners.

Health needs of patients, clients and communities.

All CPD developments will be planned to include:

Arange of educational activities that embed best practice content and referenced literature.

Competencies that enable professional development across health care professions.

Inter-professional development opportunities.

Policies and procedures to ensure compliance of set standards, including conflict of interest and commercial bias.

Evaluation Strategy.

Communications Plan.
