Scope of Service
Primary health care Corporation (PHCC) optometry services provide comprehensive eye and vision
care which includes refraction detection/diagnosis, management and rehabilitation of visual
related conditions such as: measuring eyesight, prescribing corrective lenses and giving advices
on optimum eye care.
Target Population / Patient
Primary health care Corporation registered Patients except Young age group (Less
than 2 years age).
Other information
- Extra Saturday Morning service provided in three health centers: Rawdat AlKhail, Muaither,
and Leabaib.
Type of Access
- Access to optometrists through referrals from physicians in Family Medicine clinics, and PHCC
ophthalmologists.
- School health nurses.
- No self-referral
